16th International Science Youth Forum @ Singapore 2024
Selection Criteria for the Two Students
Given the intellectual rigour of the programme, where students will interact with scientists through Masterclasses and share their own research experience, the Forum targets top Science students from schools all over the world.
To ensure that delegates benefit fully from the experience, the two Science students representing your school should
a. Be between 16 and 17 years of age in 2024;
b. Be within the top tier of their respective Science cohorts;
c. Have substantial experience in science research or competitions;
d. Possess good oral proficiency in English;
e. Possess enthusiasm and strong interest in forging ties with fellow students from all over the world;
Time Frame
a. The event is scheduled to be held from 8 to 12 January 2024.
b. Check-in time at the Hwa Chong Institution Boarding School is on Sunday, 7 January
2024 from 0600 h to 1600 h. The students and accompanying educator should arrive on
Sunday, 7 January 2024 at Singapore Changi Airport between 0100 h and 1500 h.
They will be received by student facilitators at the airport and transferred to the Boarding
School at which they reside.
c. The students and accompanying teacher should arrange flights back home between
Friday, 12 January 2000 h and Saturday, 13 January 1900 h. They will be transported
from the Boarding School to Singapore Changi Airport. The Check-out time at the Boarding
School is by Saturday, 13 January 2024, 0800 h.
d. The costs of additional nights of stay are to be borne by the students/educator. Payment
for additional nights of stay is to be made in cash in Singapore dollars.
e. There will be a briefing for students and educators at the Boarding School on Sunday, 7
January 2024, 1900 h. The programme for educators will begin on Monday, 8 January
2024.
Cost
a. All international participants (students and educator) have to pay for their own passage to
and from Singapore and other personal expenses. We encourage all international
participants to purchase travel insurance prior to the trip.
b. Expenses related to the Forum will be borne by our sponsors. This should cover the costs
of accommodation, meals, transport and Forum materials.

並於中秋連假後進行校內進行面談甄選
甄選方式：製作投影簡報，以英語進行科學研究之報告（10min）與問答（5min）
